Celebrating Achievement, Resilience and Partnership.
On Friday 30th January 2026, Malta Business School proudly celebrated its annual Graduation Ceremony, honouring the achievements of 88 graduates who successfully completed their qualifications. The 55 graduates who attended the ceremony in person were joined by family members, friends, faculty, and esteemed international guests, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere that reflected both academic success and personal perseverance.
Graduates completed programmes across a diverse range of courses including the Level 6 Bachelor and Top Degree in Business and Management, with Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation, Level 5 Diplomas in Business and Management, and ATHE qualifications at Level 6 and 7 in Project Management, Coaching and Strategic Management.
The impact of Malta Business School’s applied learning approach was strongly reflected in graduate testimonials. Theodisia Grech, a Bachelor in Business and Management graduate, reflected on the programme’s impact, noting that “what we learn during lectures, I apply directly in my role, and it has helped me grow professionally while managing work, studies, and family life.” Emna Ghamgui, a graduate of the ATHE Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management, further emphasised the supportive learning environment, sharing that “they always gave us support, even outside of the classroom.”
Hosted by Stephen Grech, General Manager, the ceremony was officially opened by Christine Caruana, Head of Programmes, who warmly welcomed graduates and guests and emphasised the resilience, determination, and growth demonstrated by learners throughout their academic journeys.
A key highlight of the event was the address by Alex Birks, Chief Executive Officer of ATHE, who travelled to Malta for this special occasion, alongside Denise Weir, Deputy CEO and Head of Partnerships and Projects. He reaffirmed the strength of the long-standing partnership between Malta Business School and ATHE, which spans more than 11 years and was further strengthened in 2025 when Malta Business School became one of ATHE’s strategic progression partners. During his speech, he congratulated the graduates on earning UK government-regulated and internationally recognised qualifications, noting their importance in navigating an increasingly complex and uncertain global environment. He also commended Malta Business School for being awarded ATHE High Performing Centre status, stating that “out of more than 250 centres worldwide, only 19 have been awarded High Performing status, and Malta Business School is well deserving of this recognition.”
The student voice was formally represented by Kim Pace, highest achiever of the Bachelor in Business and Management programme, who delivered a heartfelt and reflective speech on behalf of the graduating cohort. She spoke openly about the challenges faced throughout the journey and the importance of stepping outside one’s comfort zone, emphasising the value of critical thinking, resilience, and mutual support. Reflecting on the role of Malta Business School, she highlighted the encouragement and guidance provided by the faculty and staff, noting that beyond academic learning, the School created a supportive environment where individuals were empowered to grow, to believe in themselves, and to become stronger both personally and professionally. Emphasising the strong sense of community formed over the course of the programme, she reminded fellow graduates that they stood “not only as graduates, but as friends”, united by shared effort and experience.
The ceremony also featured an address by the Dean of Malta Business School, Lorenzo Mulè Stagno, who highlighted the three key benefits of education at Malta Business School: the qualification, the knowledge gained through applied learning, and the lifelong value of professional networks. Reaffirming the School’s ethos, Applying Knowledge for Success, the Dean emphasised the importance of practical learning, independent thinking, and continuous self-development. He also acknowledged the Henley Executive MBA graduates who completed their graduation in the UK in September last year. Lorenzo encouraged graduates to remain connected with the School through the growing MBS Alumni Association, supporting one another as ambassadors, mentors, and professionals.
The Malta Business School Graduation Ceremony 2026 marked the successful completion of an important chapter for its graduates, while also celebrating the enduring partnerships, academic quality, and learner-centred approach that continue to define the institution.
