As an education provider, Malta Business School believes in raising awareness about important issues that impact not just us personally but also the people around us – family, friends, and even acquaintances. One such cause is cancer, encouraging general awareness and especially the
importance of regular screening. Cancer touches many lives, either directly or indirectly, and early detection is key to improving outcomes. By encouraging routine testing and sharing information about prevention and support, we can play a small but significant role in helping to protect the
health and well-being of our friends, community and our country. We also recognise the incredible work of local organisations like Hospice Malta. An organisation that exists to provide and promote the highest standards of Palliative care for persons with cancer, motor neuron disease, and end-of-life respiratory, cardiac, renal and liver disease. Additionally, it aims to provide help and support to the families of those patients in their care. By throwing in our support behind Hospice Malta, we believe we can amplify their impact and help contribute to a healthier, more informed community.
Last month we joined the Pink October movement in Malta and dedicated time and effort to raising awareness and funds for Hospice Malta. As a company we chose to double any donations raised from our social media posts, events held with our Malta Business School team and registered learners from some of our current courses. We shared pink and blue donuts together that were purchased directly from Hospice Malta, to further support this cause.
On Thursday 21st November, Daniela Psaila, a volunteer from Hospice Malta, came to visit us at Malta Business School and was happy to receive our donation of €500, which was handed over by Maria Galea, a Programmes Coordinator at our School.
We would like to thank all our dedicated staff, registered learners and past alumni who have helped us raise funds for Hospice Malta. We’re looking forward to doing this again next year.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
