ModeratorHi Jonathan et al,
For your PowerPoint presentation, it’s generally best to limit abbreviations unless they are widely recognized (e.g., GDP, ROI). Too many abbreviations can make slides less readable, especially for an audience unfamiliar with them. If you do use abbreviations, define them the first time they appear.
For your written assignment, you can use abbreviations as long as they are clearly defined in an abbreviation list at the beginning of the document (as per the institution’s guidelines). However, avoid excessive abbreviations that might reduce clarity.
Let me know if you need further clarification,

ModeratorDear Jonathan and all,
The answer to your second question (info in relation to the assignment format) can be found on the last two pages of the assignment brief which Polina sent you last week.
May I add that for Task 1, you are required to create a set of presentation slides (18 –22 slides) with
accompanying notes. Do not worry if you have already started this task on a word document, the information you have written can be used as the above-mentioned accompanying notes. You now simply have to create the slides for the notes.Regards,

ModeratorDear all,
Kindly take note of the following (taken from your queries):
– As mentioned in class, the PDP is a continuation of the Skills Audit. In other words, the Skills Audit Template eventually leads to the PDP. Although they are strongly linked, they must be separately highlighted in the assignment (i.e. two separate tables).
– There is no absolute number of skills/goals to be added in the Skills Audit/PDP. Here, we are looking for quality, not quantity. However, as guidance (and as mentioned in class) it is advised to have at least four skills in the skills audit (spread out across the three primary skills) and at least three goals in the PDP.
– Some of you are asking me about the flow of the assignment. The flow is entirely up to you. Be creative! The only suggestion I can provide is (as mentioned in class) that the Skills Audit leads to the PDP.

KieranThank you,

ModeratorLearner’s Question:
How to approach the introduction and whether you can omit a critical skill from the skills audit template.
Tutor’s Answer:
With regards to the introduction, start by clearly stating the purpose of the assignment. Explain what is being added in the assignment and why such items are important.
The Skill Audit Template is flexible and can be tailored to your specific context. If your current position does not involve business skills, it is acceptable to focus more on behavioural and technical skills.
Although the Skills Audit Template is quite flexible, even if business skills are not directly relevant to your current role, is possible try to consider including any transferable business skills that might still be beneficial for your overall development.

ModeratorDear all,
I am very happy that we have managed to reach an agreement! I’d much prefer that we are a full class, so this is great!
For organization purposes, let’s list our pending sessions:
Tuesday 9th July @ 5:30pm
Wednesday 10th July @ 5:30pm
Saturday 13th July @ 2:30pm
Wednesday 17th July @ 5:30pmSince we have a session on the 17th (as planned) we do not need to incorporate a session on Saturday. In other words, the Saturday session which is to be held in class, will consist only of the presentations (so we should be finished by 4:30pm max).

ModeratorDear all,
If you confirm that you are all available on Monday 8th we can also consider to have the session on that day instead (no need to all reply, one of you can reply once you have confirmed with all learners). Ultimately, I would need to confirm the date with the school.
