Prevention in Fgura’s Air Pollution
I live in Fgura since I was born, when my mum tells me her story how she’s living in Fgura, since she was a child because she lived shortly in Zabbar, but my grandparents/her parents decide to move from Zabbar to Fgura for many years ago before I was born was filled with a lot of greenery, less populated, few buildings and less air pollution.
But nowadays is the opposite the residents of Fgura increased, and more and more become one of the busiest main roads and always stuck in traffic around Malta. The residents chose cars against public transport, because they’re always in Fgura buses full up, while cars are convenient but still is a disadvantage it means more air pollution.
But as a proud long term resident of Fgura I would like to improve and preventing some air pollution by buses come more frequently few than 15 minutes the present routes, plus introducing new route that starts from Fgura which is convenient for Fgura residents to prevent using their own cars.
More other alternative ways of transport such as undergrounds and can use frequently the ferry from Cospicua ferry the three cities to Fgura for those who are not residents.
The factories and big companies should provide their own transport for free to the workers of Fgura and other southern areas as well, to avoid a lot of traffic filled the roads of Fgura. It needs to decrease cars because in my opinion I know a lot of people don’t like the idea, there are a lot of cars in the road and when you reach the retirement the driving license should need to retire as well, if is not well fit anymore to drive and use the other ways of transport if the solutions are resolved from the above I mentioned before .
And lastly more carpooling needs to increase as well more often personally offer to your friends, work collegues and others to prevent as well exhaust everywhere. I want Fgura to be a relaxed and less stressful environment.
